Sorry havent been on much today (well talkative wise. Im in alot of pain. 2 more days until I get my hida scan and should have results by wednesday or thursday. Hubby took care of the big and lil chickies. Moved the other empty coop up by the big coop thats where my silkies will go. My wifi booster will be here tomorrow so hopefully I feel well enough to get the coop cam going. Have a great night and stay safe.

She went through the fence...twice. 3rd time I brought her out, I also brought some scratch. She needs to do some digging to file down her nails. Need to engineer something that beans can't twine through and chickens can't access.

I have never happier to have been wrong. I took a flashlight out with me when I put everyone up. Gryffyn's cochin mix chick is now halfway dry and it is undeniable. It is BLUE!!! Well, right now steel grey but blue none-the-less. It is so easy when it is dark and they are still wet to get the blue and black color's mixed up. Now, praying begins. I only need the blue and the partridge silkie chick to be female. Regardless of gender I will happily sell the rest when the time comes if those 2 can only be pullets. This also includes any that hatch from Holly and Momma Hens clutches.

Ok I am thinking good thoughts and praying to the Fates for this

Guys she did it, Gryffyn is a momma. The silkie egg has hatched and her other chick should be out by nightfall. If by bedtime the 2nd chick is hatched I am moving all 3 into the coop into a tote as well.

The day after Mike went home his boss called and wanted him to go on a job. I told my sister I'd use every hour of sick time he has on the books. Personally I'd have cursed his boss up one side and down the other!
