As you should. You learn well, or they are good trainers!
You could use an eye BOLT not a screw. Then you could put a washer on the back side before the nut and it should hold better (actually, put a washer on both sides, and screw the bolt down tight so that the 'eye' is against the washer/wood on the outside. That might be a bit overkill, but it will certainly hold! They make some fairly thin eye bolts - 1/4 in diameter rod/bolt. Just add the appropriate sized washers (2), 1 each side of the wood.I'm not sure the wood will handle changing the eye. But will be investigating the options.
I don't blame her at all! Something that strenuous and personal - you should be ashamed of yourself bothering her - even the Roos know to leave them alone when they are laying!Xzit is in a laying box and made it clear that I should leave her alone. She bites and hangs on like a Pit Bull. I don’t think she’s broody, I think she just likes to bite people!
Brat chook![]()
And now you sound like my Dad: "they've got you trained"As you should. You learn well, or they are good trainers!![]()
