DrumstickThank you so much for bringing back this memory. I will not spoil it as you are reading from the beginning, but later on you will see why this memory is special to me.

A beewhile I was shooting the video a bee attacked me lol. Cocorico all day long
I don’t want to share in Jaffar’s personal life, (but he’s doing the deed all wrong)Hmmm you haven't seen him breeding them at all? I didn't think Mr P was actually doing the deed but I guess he is.
Oh no!Hmmm maybe I’ll check around here. Maybe they’re laying somewhere else? Of the four Buckeyes, there’s an egg every three days now. They will be three years old beginning of July. I don’t want production breeds, and if they’re healthy this is best for them, but I confess we just used the last six eggs on four hardboiled eggs, and two for a batch of brownies to bring to a memorial tomorrow. We’re going to buy eggs on the way back!
My Dakota watched the whole video. Maybe she will get broody, after seeing those fluff balls.Babies out and about
Had them outside three times today
.
If you don’t believe me, well.. were you there? Prove me wrongMy phone bill is high enough already. Chooks are not allowed to use my internet. Last time, Jaffar ordered a pizzafrom Pizza Hut. And I had to pay for it too!

It has taken some time, but I can now look at pictures of him without crying. Now I just smile.Drumstick![]()

Hmm, that doesn't sound like enough for the 4 of them. They should be laying at least 2 eggs a week this time of year (each, that is). As we get into the heat of the summer and they naturally slow down, the one a week (again, each) would be more usual, with the understanding that if there was a really hot spell, they might stop temporarily.Hmmm maybe I’ll check around here.
