Hmmm maybe I’ll check around here. Maybe they’re laying somewhere else? Of the four Buckeyes, there’s an egg every three days now. They will be three years old beginning of July. I don’t want production breeds, and if they’re healthy this is best for them, but I confess we just used the last six eggs on four hardboiled eggs, and two for a batch of brownies to bring to a memorial tomorrow. We’re going to buy eggs on the way back!
Oh no! 🤦‍♂️

Hmm, that doesn't sound like enough for the 4 of them. They should be laying at least 2 eggs a week this time of year (each, that is). As we get into the heat of the summer and they naturally slow down, the one a week (again, each) would be more usual, with the understanding that if there was a really hot spell, they might stop temporarily.

I think I would check to see if there is a hidden spot...but is there really a place for them to hide them in your winter set-up?
