View attachment 3490038Kren and Whiskey got into it again this morning. As you can see, Horus is circling to get in on it.

View attachment 3490039Hector teamed up with Whiskey and ended the whole thing. It looked like Whiskey was trying to defend a girl from Kren's attentions. Kren (in spite of his build being better suited to the climate) is looking tastier.

You can also see the work remaining from the clean out. Need to clean the water bucket and start the new bedding. Hopefully tonight. If not, then definitely tomorrow.

Also found Castor. He'd disappeared (again, usually visiting a lady cat). Heard meowing in the garage when getting the chicken feed this morning. He'd gotten himself locked in. (hadn't parked in it for a few days and he didn't make a sound yesterday). Definitely thirsty, but I think it's safe to say the mouse in there is no more. He's had water and is now working on breakfast outside. The chickens (who usually try staging a raid on his dish) have given him space to eat, audience free.

Two for Tuesday

Two broody mamas, tried to get one with a chick popped out between them but I was too slow!

I know I haven't talked much. You all pretty much know my situation. I may have forgot an update but what it basically comes down to is I will have gallbladder surgery if my colonoscopy comes back clear. The surgeon thinks I may have colitis and doesnt want to operate because it could cause complications. If I mispell anything its because i shake all the time now. Been sicker and sometimes the nausea pills dont work and I throw up anyways. The pain is pretty much constant now.
I dont spend a lot of time with the chooks because Im too sick and weak and dizzy. I also got diagnosed with vertigo. (Yay) I do get out there for snacks. They love leftovers.
Hubby has been feeding them in the morning.
Another reason I dont talk much is because people dont really talk to me on here and I dont know what to say or feel ignored

to both you and Mrs BY Bob. I’m so very sorry, you all have been through so much heartache. Your feeling numb is a way to cope as you probably know, kind of a form of shock. It’s temporary, & you’re aware of it. You’ve had a lot of losses, this is what you need right now. Let yourself be comforted with everyone else, and let yourself just be, however that is.

Val, I listen to everything you say and I do interact with you. V many times I just don’t know what to say or how to express it.

I felt that way when Copper died. Because I was the one who killed my favorite pullet.

Oh, I bear responsibility for lost chickens. I would never have wished this on Mrs BY Bob. It's devastating. She can't even look out the backdoor right now.
