I know I haven't talked much. You all pretty much know my situation. I may have forgot an update but what it basically comes down to is I will have gallbladder surgery if my colonoscopy comes back clear. The surgeon thinks I may have colitis and doesnt want to operate because it could cause complications. If I mispell anything its because i shake all the time now. Been sicker and sometimes the nausea pills dont work and I throw up anyways. The pain is pretty much constant now.
I dont spend a lot of time with the chooks because Im too sick and weak and dizzy. I also got diagnosed with vertigo. (Yay) I do get out there for snacks. They love leftovers.
Hubby has been feeding them in the morning.
Another reason I dont talk much is because people dont really talk to me on here and I dont know what to say or feel ignored
But thanks for all your blessings and prayers.

I'm glad you finally got some pain meds! And, it sounds like at least some progress towards a resolution is happening - so sorry for you it is at such a slow pace. I can't imagine being in your shoes!

I suspect, like me, a lot of people don't know what to say. Honestly, I really don't - I have no idea what to do to help, and being in a field away from medicine, am clueless in that area - so, since I don't have anything to add, I usually stay silent and hope my emoji 'speaks for itself'.

Aside from a few people I know well, I keep my 'chatter' to chicken things.....(except for a few bad jokes I just can't resist posting)

I sent it. Went from vet to home to put Eli back in a comfortable environment and then turned around and drove to the UPS store.
It hasn't moved per the tracking app since 4:30am and it is nowhere near Texas so I don't think they will make tomorrow's delivery estimate either.

Sheesh! So annoying, and of course no one can help you anymore because they are just so darn non committal to any sort of service quality.

Yea sometimes I dont know what to say or talk about. I will say I was looking at my chicken coop on the camera boy do I have noisy chooks.

Yes! People say roosters are noisy, well my hens certainly squawk up a storm. And when one starts with the escort/egg song - many join in for a 'rousing chicken chorus'! And people blame the Roos! (Poor guys, they nearly always get the blame - deserved or not!)

I have filed a claim so may get my money back. But that doesn't compensate for the stress to poor Eli travelling to the vet and having her toenail cut to draw blood.
And of course it also doesn't compensate me for the anxiety and not having test results.
If it gets there in the next 48 hours they can still do the Marek's test I believe but not the Avian Leukosis test. We only have until end of day for the Avian Leukosis test to work.
I also need to decide what to do about the babies. I think I am going to move them into the Chicken Palace even without any test results.
If the package never shows up I have to decide whether to subject Eli to that stress again and if so, when. It could not be before next week because by Thursday it will be too late as the lab is closed at the weekend and I am out a lot of the day tomorrow.
Also want to be calm if I am going to attempt blood collection on my own.
Oh I am soooooooo mad!

I am so sorry the mail mishap happened to this of ALL packages!! Ahhhhh so very frustrating

OK when I say out with your girls I don't mean dump them out there - just to clarify for everyone. I mean introduce them, let them fly and be crazy chicks, get the others used to them. You know - let them be time thieves while you sit on a lawn chair and freeze your butt off while they have fun!

What day are you on? Mine have hatch day 19! They say day 21 but my chickens have not read that book apparently. Even the ones incubated this year - day 19! I doubt it's a crack - those egg have to be stomped on really hard - if non of my eggs crack from my gang stomping on the to lay eggs, I am sure it's likely an external pip.

Think good thoughts.

Its day 20 today!!! Good to know! I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for all 9 to hatch soon

We are praying for you. One thing I am wondering is do you have a medical advocate? Many health system offer them to people with complex health problems. I feel like you could qualify for one. It might really help you to have someone working on your behalf with all of your doctors, etc.

I dont have a medical advocate. My hubby comes with me. They know the issue but we have to wait for the colonoscopy and i just got my pain pills.
My gallbladder doesnt function like a normal one and hurts when I eat or its full.
There has been some colitis but we dont know which kind.
