Not so little tassels is also easy to pick out. I can spot leg feathers anywhere. I foresee Tassels being a bigger girl. In general with my maran mixes, and there are a few exceptions, but generally speaking. My Maran mixes tend to be big girls, a lot of them being bigger than their already big maran mothers.
I would be very fine with Tassels being a big girl.

Lovely names, I cannot wait to see Brownie out and about with the chicks. Do not panic yet if they are slow to eat. Chicks really do not need to eat or drink for roughly 72 hours after hatching. The absorbed yolk sac allows this buffer. Now I am paranoid and like to get them eating and drinking as soon as I can, but some are slow and give me fits.
I have decided that I will just let my co-broodies come out as they wish, Dorothy came into the Hen House while I was trying to move chicks out and Fluffy got into a huge brawl with Dorothy. That Dorothy is trouble.

Anyways I shoved Dorothy out the door and let the mamas just stay inside and relax.

I had less trouble with the Tweens integrating with the flock then I am having with these two broodies! But then again Mama Kelly didn't go picking fights with everyone!

I dunno. Eli came out and didn’t look remotely broody.
She also managed not to fall over even when walking slowly.
