While I was out getting pictures of the Marshmallows combs I also snapped a few of the Mommas and their chicks. Goose and Gryffyn's are 2 weeks old today. Holly's is 1 week today and Momma Hens are a week old tomorrow.

Oh someone is being stalked, but it is not Gryffyn. She spotted me the minute I rounded the corner of the house, and followed my every move until I went back inside.

My babies are sleeping on top of their brooder plate guess it’s too warm for them under it, love how Tippy has her head resting on the branch

How old is she?

Here is a chart explaining how to tell if a chicken is underweight or overweight. But I have been told it is only useful once they are full grown, as they don’t really start to fill out until they stop growing and have been laying for awhile.

“Pony” Sunday

Chickens aren’t the only ones who like to dustbathe in ashes.

How has she been doing lately? Hoping she has 'bounced back' from her loss....and ?maybe? even become a bit more friendly?

I have to say - she did a great job of 'dying' her hair - and ashes are certainly a lot cheaper than what we human pay for change the color of our hair!!

seriously, though - she looked like she was enjoying herself!
