Wait a minute. Is this the same neighbor who irresponsibly let one of his roosters hop your fence to fight with Jaffar? If so there is a pattern here of not containing his chickens. He probably does not even know how many chicks his hen has. They belong to my neighbor. I can’t keep them for myself.![]()
I was thinking the same thing. The neighbor may not even know there are chicks and may not be feeding them.Wait a minute. What is the cup hand treat method?I would think genetics are playing a role.
The cup hand treat method is how I trained my previous 4 to eat peacefully together when their name was called. I just need to work with them. It's just harder with 6. I could control 4 and arrange them, etc. I can't keep 6 still long enough or dole out treats fast enough for them to wait their turn.
Oh that is so sweet of youThis is Sprites hatch mate Sprout, 1 of Gryffyns 2 chicks.

It is obvious now that sadly Sprout is not a full silkie but a silkie x Marans mix. I fully expect it to look like big sister Goose if it is a pullet. Sprout does not know it yet, but, if she is indeed a pullet, and I really think she is, she has a new home waiting on her. Grandma called and was talking to one of her nephew's yesterday when I was handed the phone. His wife had gotten on and wanted to know if I had any "banty" hens available. She had been given a "banty" as she called it rooster and felt so sorry for him and needed a hen his size. Turns out, that "banty" is a silkie. She has 8 big stock hens and wants him to have a hen his size. He tries with her girls but they shake him off. Yup, Branch knows that feeling well. I also think one of Goose's chicks is a pullet and if so I will give her both. Mazzie on the other hand, my pure silkie......stays if she is a girl.
That’s good news, how are your day thee ladies?Beetov-hen is fine, and the chick seems to be recovering.

If you wanna keep up to date on the chock follow here.
Your question is not very clear. If you are asking how my chicken's day were, it was fine for them. They were happy (Josey almost slept on my lap. So did I).
Philomena and Beetov-hen? I would guess they are fine. They were running around happily. It is hard to tell who is who when there are 23 chicks running around.Typing without my glasses on.
I meant how are your other two ladies![]()
