Integration begins today:

I loaded up the chicks into the tote and carried mama over the bridge to where the coop and run are today.
Brownie yelled at me both ways but declined to choose violence thankfully and I escaped with just a stern talking to.

The chicks appeared wonderstruck but took it all in:

Brownie took a moment to remind the flock she was still charge and that she would whoop em of they came near her babies.

Then they settled in and decided to explore their jungle fowl roots:

Awww. Look at their little wing feathers coming in!
🥰🥰🥰

These are two of my five littles. Four Bielefelders and 1 Blue Australorp from Mt. Healthy. I ordered 3 and 1, and got an extra Biel. They arrived on Monday. Spent less than 24 hours getting here, so kudos to Mt. Healthy and the PO!

This in in my top 5 favorite books of all time. Can't think of the other 4... The movie was also excellent.
I received my first ever order of chicks from Mt. Healthy on Monday as well. They hatched on Sunday and the post office (I live in Winchester, VA) called me at 7:30 Monday morning to let me know they had arrived. All 10 arrived healthy. 3 Buff Orpingtons, 3 Barred Rock and 4 Barnevelders. I must have not counted the Barnevelders because the next day I counted 5. I too received an extra one. I was very happy with how quickly the chicks were shipped and how healthy they all appeared.

I'm so glad your experience was positive!

Laughter at the expense of a wee silkie 😊

Curly and wee Penne hopped up onto the rail which is a bit more then a foot off the ground, and the grey with the funny head top gave it his all to also fly up there….

Well needless to say he missed by a mile, but you could see that in his mind he was going to fly up there with mama and sissy 😆.

So wish I had the camera for that!
