Mugs Monday

A cool and windy start to the day here, but everyone is full on outside digging scratching and getting into trouble 😁

First off some mugs

And that Penne loves flying up into the Spruce trees benches, the Tweens were about 5’ up there yesterday- tried to entice them up there just now but the dirt was more interesting.

The poor silkie babies can only look longingly up at her 😆

The Tweens are bopping and hopping on the roost with the big ladies.

What a handsome Rooster Mr P is, maybe he will be available to make a visit to FBA one day, or maybe Cheetah - us ladies are all a-bawk over him.

Why thank you Miss Bee - Mr P would love to come for a visit but you live a very long way from here, and we are in another country. That is like being in a different flock.

Cheetah sure is a lovely I agree - maybe he can come for a visit. :)

They sure do look like they were enjoying themselves 💕

When I thought doubles I was thinking of a pairs class like we have here, not riding double 😊 I would have fallen off sure thing!

Are these shows all Gaited Horse classes? I love that pony BTW 😊
Yes, all of our local shows cater to gaited horses. You will see Standardbreds, Tennessee Walking Horses and Kentucky or Rocky Mountain horses mainly. Every now and then you can spot a Saddlebred. Rarely do you find Quarter horses or true Paint horses. If they are there they are entered in the go as you please classes where they do not require a specific gait, or begging riders classes with children. Oh and ponies, the kids show those ponies and they are adorable. Russ has other ideas about miniature ponies, they are going to eat him and does not like them.

I have placed a 4x4 block under the rail everyone likes to roost on in the Rooster Run, so the baby silkies can hop up there. Well no need to worry! They can hop up quite nicely onto that rail! Even that wee white one!

RC do not let Eli show than how to fly up into the rafters 😊

Hey how is Eli ? Is she still broody?
Yes. Eli continues to be completely nutso.
We are on day 19.
This is what Bernie has to deal with. Look how big Eli can make herself!

Ok so my EE's hatched, but for some reason some of them have feathered feet like this:

You would not have fallen off. Rosie would have done what she really wants to in doubles. Yanked off the saddle to ride bareback. Russ has a wide back and when you ride him he feels like you are sitting in a rocking chair. All you would have had to do would be hang onto her waist.
