I can't get over my beautiful Tina laying this egg, I hope she is going to be okay...
First eggs with no shells then the fart fairy egg, now this soft shelled huge egg

That is an horrendously large egg - and to be soft shelled as well, it must have been very difficult for her. Poor girl.
Did you weigh it?
I really hope it doesn't happen again.

I saw a tiny bit of red blood in Tina's poop this morning and was worried.

Then later I found this huge egg with a very soft shell

This morning I finally let mamas and babies out on their own while I was at the house getting breakfast. I have been keeping them in the Hen House but figured they could roam on their own now.

I was thinking I would put the Tweens with the main group to roost tonight. Put them in a nest box - but will get up extra early tomorrow morning to ensure they don’t get hired in the morning tussle.

Meanwhile at the moment the mamas are hanging out with their chicks.

EDIT - ummm not hired - hurt... sheesh! I need to wear my glasses more often.
