Very addictiveHow wonderful - I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
She is a very pretty chicken indeed.
If I can break up a broody they are a bit "off" for a little bit. If I can break them up right away they almost snap right out of it. If it takes awhile I will find them sitting in random places, still broody clucking and grouchy to other flock members for a few days.Mine were grumpy and irritable when they stopped the broody bit, which is why I though shoving chicks under them would help. But with my co-broodies being old cranky pants with the chicks I am not likely to do that again!
Maybe @RebeccaBoyd can say if they get moly and grumpy after coming offf the nest without babies.
Edit: meant mopey not moly…![]()
Everyone is outside now, Fluffy got confused with all the chicks and pecked poor Penne thinking it was one of the others, Penne looked so disgusted she went and pecked one of the other chicks.Curiosity on both sides of the babies. That's good.

Oh I love her black silkie henDon't know if the neighbors are on BYC, but I did find them on YouTube (they advertised their socials loud and clear on their egg box. You can take eggs and leave a donation. That way they don't have to be certified to sell eggs from what I know. .)
