Yuck. Ok. I may have to get my Mom to help with any surgical things. I may be able to do surgery on a tablet but I cannot do it with a chook.
I hope no surgery is necessary to remove the bumblefoot.
I think that I'm going to do surgery on her today, if my annoying parents let me.
I wod hate for the infection to kill her while we are gone.

Happy Pony Sunday!!
This was a sweet little goat I met at a goat show I went to. She was so cute.

Lenny and Reenie could be friends! He yawns whenever I am trying to put the bit in his mouth. Little brat!

The bad new is Tina laid another lash egg.
She's laying some strange things lately, soft shelled fairy and now a lash egg. I'll give her some yogurt and oregano later.
Can you share a picture of the lash egg. The strange egg you shared a while back wasn't a lash egg. I don't know what the issue was, but it wasn't lash.

That did look nasty, but it is a slow thing, I don't think it will kill her while you are away. How long are you gone for?
I would try soaking it to soften up the skin.

You all do not know how close I came to coming home with 6 more not needed chicks yesterday. Me and dad had to run to tractor supply for fly spray. He is wandering around looking at tack and what not and of course I am scrutinizing the chicks. He walks up behind, peeks in and asks was there any we needed. They only had 5 breeds available, and I had 3 of them. The other 2 were cornish cross which for me is a absolute no no. They had Bielfielders. Straight run, but they are sexable as chicks. 1 problem, me and the employee could not remember which pattern was male or female. Trust me I asked. I left them behind, dad put it I would come home with 6 roosters.
Out two local TSC's only have Cornish cross, turkeys and/or ducks, and a high production layer, red sex links or something. No problem for me. But if they had orpingtons I would have really wavered!

A big twofer and a little twofer. That is two twofers.
Happy Tuesday everyone.

@RoyalChick I love your log roost on the corner brackets. I have a question about it, though - It doesn't look like you shaved a bit on the bottom to give it a flat edge...so I'm wondering if it 'wobbles' some side to side (as looking at it) when chooks hop on? Or is it only used for the littles that don't have enough heft to make it wobble some? I did something similar (though not on brackets, on the ends of 2X4s, but I 'shaved' a flat spot on each end of the the branch/log so it would rest flat and be a bit more stable. I was afraid with full-sized girls hopping on and off, that it would not last long term with a rounded bottom.

Thoughts?
