Good morning to all of you. I need help. I’m being smothered by a Rock who chooses to lay down on my face.
I could call emergency services, but I’m afraid that Bob could get here faster than the County can!
This is all I see at the moment:View attachment 3544006
What Terrible way to go. :eek:

Are you still looking for a facility for her? Or is that a different person? (Sorry if I am confused.)

We have a plan for the cats. And for a major evacuation maybe the chickens. The llama would require us having a second vehicle that can pull a trailer which isn’t possible right now.

I have this one:

They are usually available cheaper at Sam’s Club and Costco and include extra replacement bulbs there.

@GregnLety
Same here for the forecast so ya definitely have my sympathy. Rogers is just east of Waco correct?
East of Belton/Temple, a little south of Waco.

@bgmathteach
Oh, do be careful! Lots of water and ice for you and the chooks, and hopefully you have some AC for you & a fan for them - that is down-right miserable/heat stroke weather!🔥🔥
Worst part is the high humidity/heat index has us topping out at a “feels like” temperature of around 115 or higher on some of those days. Bad enough that we are getting Excessive heat warnings.

I can't even fathom 117 - do be careful.
And many thanks for the info on the Dynatrap - it says it does not attract bees. Although the statement it doesn't attract pollinators generally is a bit dodgy as many of those other things to do play a role in pollination - but happy to see bees and at least some other pollinators are safe. I may indeed get one and see if it helps this season.

Wow this babies are just growing like crazy! Isn’t it wild how they just make themselves at home 😊

Love the cactus, I gave up trying to weed mine, I might just take a spade to it and break it all up, restart with a small patch. Looks like yours are starting to flower, mine are not behind.

How do your chickens handle the cactus? So they try to eat the flowers or the plant itself?
They tend to ignore the cactus. There's lots of other stuff to eat. That said, for a choice bug....?

The craziest thing just happened... I came in with 5 chicken eggs that I stole from Willow, because she couldn't fit all of them. I decided to candle them. Out of the 5, 2 were fertile and developing, so I ran them back out and gave them back to her. She took them and stuffed them under. I'm going to take more and try and get most of them so that I can get rid of any non developing eggs.
My dad also said that he has no say in what "the bird ladies do" -thats my mom and I- and so now I think I get to keep them, just no roosters.
What just happened??? 😂
