Oh I am glad you also have escapees

Mine are almost too big to fit through the holes in the netting , I had to chase them back in earlier and they struggled to get back in .

Tassels and Calypso are now too big or almost so. But the other three still walk through. And of course they don’t yet have combs so they don’t notice they got zapped!

Although I'm sure the tragic co-brood at my house had a lot to do with the personality of one of the broodies, I'm not game to try it again. And that hen is no longer allowed near hatching eggs or chicks.

Yes, but it is a broad spectrum antibiotic and should be the antibiotic of last resort. It's effectiveness needs to be preserved at all cost.

No it wasn't. I still feel a little guilty about that. I hyped the experience up quite a bit. I'm truly sorry you did not get the experience I did.

I am getting plagued by little black flying things that are making me itch all over.
I want to close up the Chicken Palace, make some dinner and clean up the kitchen.
Will the Pentagonists come in for the night? Will they hell!
They are playing some sort of game where they frighten each other by leaping out from behind some tall weeds.
There is much shrieking and flapping and running going on. And all I can do is sit here and scratch!
