That’s what I would also do just to be safe.

Of course we need a photo of those glorious eggs

I will get them. Ended up with 5 black eggs and 2 white ones. I paid for 6 black eggs but we discussed it over the phone. Her hens have decided to go broody on her and was only able to gather 5 to send out. It is ok, her white eggs sell for more so since they all arrived safely I am not complaining.

A nice breeze is a lovely thing, evenings here the breeze falls off, around 7, and then it’s just hot and humid.

For those who missed this, I now have a screen up in my office doorway teeheehee, I give them by tomorrow noon and they will have figured out how to get through

Now that the eggs arrived safely I will say I would not trust my post office to have chicks shipped to me. Called them yesterday and left a message that I was expecting a package of hatching eggs and I needed to pick them up in person. Written on the box to call for in person pick-up. I gave it to 12:30 waiting on a phone call and called back. They are already in route to be delivered to my house . Apparently they can not relay messages or even read what is written on the box.

Cuckoo was dubbed Cuckoo because her barred rock markings (she looked just like one as a chick) are all kinds of wonky. She does have the Plymouth Rock yellow skin. (Means she's not a Marans, British lines). She has a straight comb, so not a Dominique (the barring is identical between the breeds). Honestly, she looks like one of the hatchery Ranger (meat birds), but the place I got her doesn't carry any of those. She looks like she's a cross between a barred and a silver penciled Rock. She's Cuckoo.

Exceptions occur mostly when negative reviews get posted online. Anyone reading the reviews has to read with a grain of salt due to all the childish temper tantrums that also occur that way, rendering the valid issues ignored there too.

If I had to buy eggs again I would buy from her no problems. They were insured thankfully. I was very impressed with how they were packaged. If I did do it again, I would start bombarding them with phone calls the day they were set to arrive upon opening to get the message across to have them picked up in person.

The precious cargo, hopefully fluff and puff are in there. Yes Rosie has dubbed 2 fluff and puff before they are even in the incubator.

That carton was also bubble wrapped and wrapped in aluminum foil.
The box also had 5 more cardboard egg cartons. 2 on the bottom, the eggs and a empty one beside it with 2 more on top and stuffed with paper.
