It’s a tad unusual here to do porcelain flooring anywhere but the kitchen or bathroom.

Yes, it was a bit more expensive and definitely a lot more labor intensive but I think it was worth it. It was the durability that sold me. I did not wanna be doing flooring again, ever if at all possible 😂

When I redo my kitchen someday, I am thinking brick floors and those nifty concrete countertops. I don't love diy so if I am doing it, I am doing it one darn time of I can help it!

I am glad I didn’t put it in the feed room, the laminate is just as easy to clean😊

Thank you. Before I got home, I stopped at TSC and they still had the Brahma pullets. I was BEGGING my mom to let me get some. They only had two or three.
I knew that there was a reason a voice was in my head telling me to get them.
Maybe in a few days if I still want chicks...
I may take Willows eggs (because she looks so depressed, poor thing. She feels so bad.) And just incubate them. I feel bad for saying this, but I don't trust her.
I knew that something would go wrong. It was an all (or mostly) black chick too.
Sorry Pastel and Splotch.
You can only place day old (or as close to day old as possible) chicks under the mama, it would be too risky otherwise.

We're letting Eenie hatch for sure, but if we get bad news when we candle them on the 3rd, we're going to but some chicks are our local stores chick days, which starts the 8th.

We've also decided, after realizing that Meanie is head hen and Eenie is bottom of the pecking order, we're going to close off the nest and make the others go elsewhere, or move her. I don't want the others to cause her babies problems.

Is it better to move a broody early, or late? Her eggs should hatch July 13th.

We've also decided to move Manny to the little coop. It's far too small for 4 chickens, and better suited to bantams, but alone he should be fine for a couple weeks, until Sheba heals up.

Where has BY Bob Been?
I'm sorry I have been absent but this past week was the Alfa Romeo Owners Club national convention. We go when it is close and this year it was in Concord, NC.

The convention presented me with a chance to drive my car at Charlotte Motor Speedway. A chance to drive very fast safely so I jumped on it. You can find the story of my drive here.

I posted elsewhere because it is not about chickens, except that my Daisy was there in spirit through this.....

I figure by the time we were done she felt like this.
