Have you wormed them? Mr P stopped crowing last year and for about a month I never heard a peep out of him. Then one day he pooped and it contained round worms - I immediately wormed him, and the rest of the gang.

About a week later he started crowing again. I guess he was not feeling well with the parasite load he had :sick
No I have not, and I'm ready to try a fecal float now. (The equipment is laid out but not all set up, I've been a bit intimidated!) She had some fresher poop on her butt this morning, so I know she is eating enough to poop some.

So, update on Willow-

I took all six of her remaining eggs and candled them. One had nothing going on, and every other egg was fully developed (I think that most are still alive) Everytims I have held the eggs to look for pips or listen for peeps, two or three have been cold. There is an egg with a dent because of her squishing it, but it looks fully developed. I put that egg back under her, and put the four remaining eggs in my incubator.
The bator temp in 99.5, and the humidity is 66. Should I raise the humidity?

@Pastel The Rooster :
I don't know how BBQ's foot is doing, the last picture, the sore looked smaller. But, I saw these and thought of you. If the corn cushions are too small, these callus cushions might work. They were at Walmart, and cost $1.49 locally. I included both types in the picture so you could get an idea of the size difference:

They should be easier to use/make than the pipe-cleaner wire ring, and they will probably be more comfortable on her foot.

That said - I was very amazed with your ingenuity!

Hope BBQ continues to improve.

EDIT: Well, if you are going to remove the bumble tomorrow, you don't need these:rolleyes:
Talk about a day late and a dollar short!

Okay, so yes, I got a new cable to connect the camera to the computer;

This is m y cross beak girl. (Much better pics than the last one - you can see it is severe cross-beak) I have some dental 'hooks' that should be arriving tomorrow that I will try to glue to her beak (one top & one bottom - on opposite sides) and hook an elastic on at night to try to move the bottom half in line. At the moment it is still pretty flexible (i.e. the jaw is not yet 'hard set') but it is no longer quite as movable as it was just a week ago. I've been bringing her in nightly to make sure her crop is FULL at bed time, and added a deeper waterer and cup food dish so she can eat and drink easier.

Oops, and yes, that is a bit of chick crumble on her lower jaw! I keep saying 'she' but I really don't know. I think 'her' comb is a bit red, but no waddles are starting yet. so :idunno She has cute little muff and beards - so I am pretty sure she is 1/2 CM and 1/2 EE..
