It’s a win win. They get the bugs, we get some exercise! :old
And Phyllis can come live here anytime she chooses! :love
Phyllis is perfectly happy here. She thanks you for the offer but politely declines.

Caturday Saturday

Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian BYC peeps!

Missy is getting frisky wanting to go outside.

Hmmm, I had to chuckle! For a 'dual purpose' hen, Sydney looks pretty svelte next to the fluffily large derriere's of the others! (especially since there is no Phyllis nor Glynda in these pictures.

I think I have said it before but Sydney does not seem to be dual purpose sized. She does not even make it to 6 lbs (2.7 kg) and Hattie is over 7 lbs (3.17 kg). I have always thought that Syd was small for a Barred Rock, fake or otherwise.

For reference, Aurora looks big because she is all fluff. She is just over 6 lbs.

Hattie's feathers are sleek. She is that big.

I do need to weigh Lady Featherington and Glynda. I have not done so yet.

Dual purpose? Does that mean sing and play the piano? :idunno
