My grandson has a missing tearduct and he's having an operation this week. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Are there any suggestions on keeping this eye clean after the operation? I say himalayan salt in sterilised water but my family would appreciate some input from you guys. I have told them how helpful you have all been. Plus has anyone heard of this medical procedure being done before and the timescale on this healing??

Yep sure have, the doctors will prescribe special meds for this.

I KNEW IT!

Much to their grumpy dismay, they are NOT getting eggs. Silkies are due to hatch Saturday and I personally need a break from chicks. You hear me girls....knock it off, get it out of your systems. We will take the matter back up again sometime in September. If you are going to be freeloaders in the fall and winter you might as well spend that time being productive.

Never rains but pours….

Was giving eggs away and then I had a whole bunch stockpiled in the fridge and was about to just waste them, when two people contacted me, one wanted 20 dozen!!!! I told him I have 8 dozen he agreed. Mum and I ran around scrounging up eggs and had 10 dozen for him!

I have another person who wants 3 dozen so now I just need to yell at the girls to lay eggs in the NEST BOXES and not hide them away

My aunt was expecting a few dozen tomorrow - I will give her some of my sisters duck eggs.

The 20 doz guy wants them every couple weeks, I will need to stockpile them and pilfer my nieces eggs at my sisters

Hmmm at 7 / day on average that still will only be about 8 dozen. They do lay 8 or 9 a day but I am going with 7 to be safe. I need to see if someone else around here has chicken eggs to sell - ooooo hey my neighbour up the road. Will need to see him.

What on earth is he doing with 20 dozen eggs every couple of weeks? Runs a restaurant? Sells cakes? Has a big appetite? A big family?

I ask NO questions - I am legally allowed to sell “at the farm gate” - once they are out of my eye sight what do I know??

But yes he has 6 kids and a large extended family - my mother is not so good at minding her business!

Me I have no problem with whatever he wishes to do with them. He seemed pleased with them at any rate.

Ok well let us know how the wee lad gets on; I am sure he will be fine
