Spurred by a Cactus Spine
Thank you. I appreciate it.I am so sorry. Six is quite old for a chicken. It's so sad that they don't live long.
Sending tons of hugs![]()

I just got this running. This is what I have in placeView attachment 3579896
This Hen House is only 4x10 feet so these two make a huge difference.
Nice video. To help keep your chickens cool, I have this video.
I am so sorry for your loss.Sorry you are going through this.
Let me give you a big hug.
And I will accept one in return as at the end of a truly crappy day I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize one of my beloved feline family members.
He had a good life - but at only ten years a really short one by cat standards.
I have been bawling my eyes out and now just need to go sleep.
Did I see right that you have a dirt floor in there?I just got this running.

Wonderful to hear she is holding steadyTruly has been doing ok, but I have been keeping them inside. They all seem happier, no bugs and they are all down sleeping at night, I know Reenie and Lulu are down as they are covered in shavings in the morning, and Truly has been down also, she is covered in green horse poop- she is such a messy girl in her stall.
I checked the camera footage to seee if she fell over or actually got down and slept, seems she got down and slept.

No, I don't have a dirt floor, but the fan seems to be working well. Somehow I'll humidify.Did I see right that you have a dirt floor in there?
With your low humidity, a fan and damp earth will make a huge difference in temperature for them.
Nice idea, thanks.Nice video.
I would add damp down the dirt both inside the coop and in the shade (where you put the watermelon)
My mom did horse riding sense she was little and eventually she stopped to continue with her actual job. She loves horses!I had a horse once that would listen to the ring steward at show calling the different gates (speed they travel), one day I was on her and we were doing a canter (like a slow gallop) when the steward called “Walk, all walk”
My mare slammed on the brakes and started walking and I almost came off from the momentum!
My chooks know “go home”, “get up on Mount Poopmore” and “go to bed”
For treats it’s the red bowl, they see that and they all come running.
I have a ice block in front of the fan blowing cool air.Did I see right that you have a dirt floor in there?
