I work with and/or am close friends with people named all of the above. I try to avoid names of current people. Also have a Dani in the family.

Really leaning towards Cardhu or Fiddich for that little chocolate one. Mama Storm had them out and about today

The all yellow is definitely feathering in white at the moment. Name debate will continue for a while, but lightning theme is holding top spot.

The marked yellow has a bit of pasty butt. I expect Storm will take care of that soon, but watching.

Oh they are lovely - such pretty babies. Can’t wait to see their colouring 😊

Breathe!
Your one priority right now is to figure out where it got in and secure the coop so nobody else can get in. If an Opossum can get in something even nastier might too - so you must figure this out and secure the coop.
:hugs
I tried looking for areas if concern in the coop and I couldn't find anything. All I found was a huge spider and ran out if the coop screaming bloody murder... 😳

:hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs:hugs:hugsI just had the biggest scare of my life.

No birds were killed

I came back home from my week vacation in North GA. I went out to the coop. Everyone was alive. Took my worries away.
Oh, Bolt laid an egg! Everyone is laying!
Why is it broken though? Just the top of it. Why are there Splotch/BBQ eggshells around the nest area?
There are Willow, Splotch, BBQ, and the Bolt eggs!
OMG THERE IS SOMETHING FURRY BEHIND THE NEST BOX!!
Well, a Opossum decided to sneak into my coop and eat my eggs. I immediately started crying (still am, this happened about 30 minutes ago, maybe a little more.) I was so scared. I just started thinking about how everyone could have died. I grabbed all if the girls and put them in Pastel's timeout coop, and where he stays while we are gone.

I am so freaking scared. If a Opossum could get in my coop, what else could? I feel bad for my chooks. They are going to be in a tiny coop for who knows how long.

I just can't imagine my life if they had been killed :hit I knew I lived them tons, but how I had a total panic attack... I'm still crying. I NEVER cry!

I am just so glad that they are okay.
Ok, kid. Take a long, deep, slow breath in. Exhale just as slowly, keeping it steady both ways. Keep breathing like that until it's easy. None of them were hurt. Now, when you've calmed down, start working on figuring out how it got in. Once you know that, blocking that path can be done. You may find other spots needing to be fixed in the process.

Having a Opossum get in as you arrived home was a good thing. You can fix it before the raccoons figure out how to duplicate the technique. NO ONE WAS HURT. Keep breathing.

You gotta get over that spider thing! Poor little guy - he was just eating flies and mosquitoes!
Have you worked systematically around the whole perimeter looking for footprints, gaps, tunnels etc. Also look high up - under the eaves - those critters can climb.

Thank you ❤❤ it SCARED the crap out if me. We left the coop door open so that it can get out. If its not gone by tomorrow we might need to shoot it.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to dig deeper on how it got in.

Ha, I know! I can deal with snakes, but I have no idea what's with me and spiders. I've not seen anything from just doing a quick sweep around the coop. We had just gotten home and my brain was terrified... couldn't think clearly. All I saw in my brain was how if I didn't get home just then my chooks would all be dead...
