Yes, I’m sensitive too. There may not be a scent but there are other ingredients that coat the clothes to lessen wrinkles. Venting up and above is best, so that air will move away and not be wafted back, depending on the wind direction.
I wish they wouldn't use so much chemical scents, the only thing I use here in the barn is Pine-sol, small bit mixed in water to cut odours in the horses stalls, also to dampen the alleyway of dust when I sweep.

For Pony Sunday (and other critters), I took this pic at work yesterdayView attachment 3601015She's 1 week old. The 1st time mother had twins and rejected this one. Owner is raising, had to get stuff, so brought along in a baby wrap/sling. This will be a VERY people friendly standard sized goat when she's grown. (Didn't ask the breed). Her ears are as soft as Sherlock's.

And last walk before leaving for work yesterday...View attachment 3601025View attachment 3601026View attachment 3601027Curious pup, curious buck
Oh I want a goat so much - about 20 of them actually to eat all the weeds here in the paddocks.

Looks like Sherlock is really settling in - lucky pup to have you as his mum :)

I've read we can give them probiotic in-between. So they had banana in low fat yogurt, 6 and a half hours after.
I only have tin sardines there is no meat here today. Would boiled free range egg be a problem?

Tina looks in a bit of pain, so I had corn on the cob and I rolled that in a little coconut oil and turmeric. I hope I'm not messing up.

I also read for her weight I've given her to much amoxicillin. She should only have just over a hundred mg I've given her 250 :th so not going to give her anymore until in the morning because she's already had well over 2 days in 24 hours.

The best in can do is 125mg, which is over but not as severe on her. That twice a day for five days should be sufficient 🤞 because I'd rather go a day over to be sure.
Ask Bob about dose - I can't remember what I gave to Tuff (or you can go back and find the message I had regarding Tuff). But my capsules are 500mg and I am not going to try and split that! it's a powder in a capsule. I think I gave it to her once a day.

A true killer at heart. I'd keep an eye on that sort. They can lead to other crimes'sss

Killing to eat another thing, from what I've seen the majority care about nature but there's also others as there is in human nature
Oh he couldn't kill a fly the noise he makes. And those open trails all they do is lead coyotes and foxes to his backyard into my paddocks! He knows nothing about the bush that is for sure.

I am trying to get the weeds and brush cut down in my paddocks so that there is no place for foxes, coyotes and wolves to hide. If my paddocks are cut flat then it will be easier for the Ravens, Crows and Blue Jays to see any predators and warn the chickens. Also cut down on mosquitoes!

I'm just quoting you all and answering once. I appreciate all the input.

All of you make great points. My biggest problem is Manny is impossible to catch unless it's night time. He and Meanie are pretty much joined at the hip! I tried to close just Meanie in with Eenie and the chicks and they lost their minds screaming out that alarm call.

I'd hoped separating Manny into the new coop one night and leaving him for a week or two would be better. He'd be able to see the ladies, and then him, but it sounds like that's not going to work.

Right now, they have their little run in the coop they can get behind and into, but that's what I'd like to do away with. I'm worried for three chicks, but also Eenie, and I'm not sure what to do here.

Should I just put up places for the chicks, leave her out, and call that good? But if course, I'm jumping the gum. I'll try getting the hens in the coop, Manny in the run, and see how that goes for a bit.
In the end - you need to do what makes you feel comfortable.

Regarding catching the Roo - I use a fishing net for really rediculously idiotic hens - I don't move as fast or bend too well anymore. And having falling on my face more than once (and usually landing in some lovely cecal poops), I got a net.

Also if he is that skittish I would suggest spending time in the run and coop with them. Make the desensitized to your presence. Spending about 10 min every day just doing things like moving them from one spot to another will get them used to you. Bring treats and everytime you move them to a location stop and give them some treats, make sure you retreat though then.

Being able to handle your animals without them getting freaked out is better for them and you - all it takes is about 10 mins a day....

"Get out of my office you brat - you pooped on my shoe!" Beasts - ok gotta run and get these school chicks outta here - then fix the bush-hog to mow the weeds :)

Thanks @ManueB, that is sound advice. I have been obsessively reading all of the problem cockerel posts on BYC and there are so many of them, it makes me feel worried!
I do tend to overthinking, so I will just let it be and use my judgement.
My non-rooster-keeping sense of so many of those articles I read in the past about problem roosters, is that the people really didn’t make any accommodation to or understanding of the rooster’s point of view.

:goodpost:
Yes, I get the same sense. Some of them are quite upsetting.
