Very glad you are going. Now how about before you clean the stalls?
It's quieter in Emerg around 1pm - it's a small community hospital and mornings are always crazy with patient transfers and morning nursing rounds. Then I have someone coming for eggs at noon.... but yes I wish I could go right now! I even took a Tramacet at 6am (well normally I do anyways for my RLS), it helped a bit.

Oh I need to get a video of the barn swallow babies practicing flying. I told them not to fall to the ground as the chickens would be on them like sharks!

OK I buy that - but you be there at 1pm whatever chores need doing. You have a lot of animals who depend on you being able to see properly!

Lovely group of chickens. I hear you have heard crowing so I was scrutinizing them. 3rd picture, white and black chicken. How about a full body close up shot of that one. I cannot zoom in close enough to tell for certain, but I would like to be able to see if those are sickle feathers I am spotting or just a illusion with the markings.
You are not the first to question Sylvie’s gender. The crowing is only now and then. Not every day. So I am thinking it is more likely a hen getting excited about something.
But any excuse to post pictures of the lovely Sylvie and if you do think she is a boy, please break it to me gently!

I have noticed that Bernie is much more aggressive to Sylvie than she is to any of the others. She really doesn’t like her (him?).

Thank you. It certainly is. It makes me happy that she died with me holding her, but also terribly sad.

Luckily before she passed, I took Frost out and sat with her on the grass. Poor Eclipse was already gone.
That is a comfort knowing you were with her plus if they pass amongst their flock. Either way is the best two options imho

Sorry for your loss :hugs

Yes I have noticed that also hahaha - and on my phone 'I' is always changed to 'o' for some odd reason...

OK tea is done, need to do stalls them I got someone coming for eggs at noon then into emerg.

I had to chase the chooks out of here 4 times and I finally closed my office door.
But my question is. Did they poop in your chair :D

I had a mad busy couple of weeks. Yesterday I thought I'd never stop. I couldn't sleep when I got to bed and today I was told many people couldn't sleep last night for some reason :barnie

Tina was supposed too finish her medication yesterday but I decided to let her have the last couple of doses today. Just as an extra boost. The last one will be before bed.

Princess has been a real caring mama to her and I think she's been making her go into the coop at night because she's not been out on the perch this past five nights.

Yes Mum :)

I did call my Eye Dr and he is away on vacation, and the other Dr in the office is out on hospital rounds today.

Just taking a snack break stuffing my face full of shortbread cookies and I a being invaded by chickens... sheesh!

Cash decided it was safer on my lap... she better not poop there - oh great now I have Babe here also. Brats! It's raining so they are stuck inside and they are bored I guess.

Likely waiting so I turn my back and they are on BeakBook!
