I am very thankful you have the chooks - they are great at distraction!

How are your kids doing? Has to be hard on them also, kids know things, they aren’t oblivious.
💕💕💕💕💕
My kids are very young 4 and 6 and I have had two surgeries since they have been born. One, when I had my partial knee replacement and then when I broke my ankle.

They are fully aware of the upcoming surgery but I have been careful thus far of mentioning cancer around them or discussing what that means. I will discuss it with them if this goes sideways but until then I have decided not to burden them with it.

I have come through two surgeries okay so they don’t seem to concerned about it plus, school is starting up soon so they are focused on that and I am glad they are.
I’m sorry you’re going through the rough treatment regime, and thankful the effects are short-lived. Thinking of you :hugs and sending you virtual hugs and good vibes for each step! :hugs
Thank you :) I did sign up to do the trial and could stop participating at anytime. I still feel pretty good about it, it could potentially help me but also further research to help others. I am also very glad that the side effects are short lived. Thank you for the hugs and support it means so much, thank you.

My daughter Angela asked the most random question today. She wants us to go skydiving together. She is fearless and very tough. She survived 6 months of rehab after scoliosis surgery when she was 14. She is far more brave than I. She once said that I am her rock. In my heart she's my hero. ❤️
Oh you should go! And take lots of photos 😊

My sister wanted me to go with her, but she chickened out.

Just an idea I'll throw out there - you can mix the proper ratio ahead of time for her, & store in a metal feed container. This is what I've done for DH to feed our cat. Big Boy is switching from one special feed to another, and we need to keep the calories per serving the same. Portioned out by weight but all mixed up, he just needs to serve a scoop for each meal.

Pony Sunday - I think this is a pony? Love the mane and tail! I think he was standing there trying to let the wind keep the flies off. Then he went for a roll. There's a chicken there too!

That's the best looking horse I've seen in a while! Those dapples!😍

Perfect timing on this response. My MIL passed away from a widowmaker heart attack yesterday morning. We're all raining. Thank you.
I’m so sorry for your sudden loss, and sending thoughts for all your family. It feels like there is a lot of love between all of you and I hope being together gives you some support.

I love the image of tears as rain. Rain is necessary for life, to keep things growing, to clean everything. Everyone one grieves differently, but we should never be ashamed of all the tears we shed, or try to hold them back.
:hugs :hugs:hugs
The 21st is last treatment date for the trial. Then surgery will be on 31st. I am not looking forward to the 21st as I got very sick from the large amount of vaccine. Thankfully it was short lived about 24 hrs of feeling icky. I will be glad to get the surgery behind me and to find out whether or not its invaded my lymphatic system or not. The constant worry of the unknown is beginning to weigh on me.

Ive been keeping as busy as possible, out with the chickens a lot , crocheting a lot, and I learned how to make sourdough bread. Distraction is the name of the game at the moment.

Thank you for checking on me 🤗
It won't be long waiting now , hoping for the best. You are very brave, and also generous to go through the trial 🙂.

3 weeks of holding them hostage while she enjoyed the life of a pampered house cat making us think each day was the day. Trixie cannot hold them in any longer and they are coming! 2 kittens so far in 45 minutes. As big as Trixie got, and lopsided I think she will have a odd number. I am thinking 5, I hope and pray not 7.

Once she is done and they are dry I will get pictures.

Fluffy butt Friday

A blast from the past here, I am heading to town to bring eggs to someone and get some paint at home depot.

And I was astonished this morning when one of the Azurs (Twister) came up to me, pecked at a button on my shirt, then pecked the hole in my pants. After which she looked up at me - so I picked her up and cuddled her, she snuggled under my arm and proceeded to fall asleep! What’s that all about?!

I certainly haven’t been giving them treats, just feeding them and chatting to them. Maybe she feels safer with me - like a mama hen whom she can snuggle under away from the crazy Roos and other hens.
