My fear of drowning is stronger than my fear of heights but they're both prevalent. When my girls were younger we loved going to carnivals and ride everything together. I'll need to lose about 30 pounds but am willing to give it a go. Left to my own devices this wouldn't cross my mind but it's been a while since I've shared an adventure with my daughters.

I was up with my RLS surfing the net reading up on any side effects. Got into the McMaster site and read some scholarly articles, of course being up in the middle of the night reading about the supposed benefits of anti inflammatory and analgesic effects and side effects has the effect of my being very tired today.

One thing is for sure, McMaster seems to have copious amts of data, they just need to put it all together. And another thing I know - it's very expensive and likely not covered by any medication plans so it's not likely to be my first choice for pain meds!

Yes I know I owe tax... it's just so darn miserable here I am hiding out in the office. The chooks want in but I told them NO! I cannot have 30-some chickens in here!

Also, I hate to break it to you, but there is no going back. She will always be a pampered house cat. She will go outside to get gifts for you. Hope you enjoy half dead mice and chipmunks!

Jack has in no particular order snuck in a live toad, mole, and lizard and let them loose in the house. He caught and dropped a live snake and dropped it on my foot outside then ran. If I had caught him that day I would have killed him. Last fall we almost stepped on a half eaten minnow in the dining room. Countless mice have been left on the porch, some unfortunately made it inside and songbirds. I think the chickens learned to chase birds from him. He is also the only one so far to successfully catch and sadly kill a squirrel. He is a hero to my chickens for that one. They also know whatever gifts he brings if it has been killed, they are rewarded his gifts. I should be worried about him and chicks due to his history with birds but I am not. I think he knows they are off limits. He has also been whipped by Momma for just walking by her like everyone else when she had chicks. I have saw the chicks come up to him when is he outside napping and peck him all over and he does not move. He also thinks he can hatch a egg. A favorite napping spot is in the nest box, curled up around the eggs in it. So far he has never broken a single egg.
He has such a hard life.

My mental state has been challenged lately (not my sanity) but mental state. Depression mixed with excitement and stress, is not fun either. The mind affects the body so to speak.
 
Blue Friday 😊

Have two blue eggs from the Azurs today - very eggciting! They are laying them in the small crate in the Summer House.

It is such a miserable windy drizzly awful day, nothing like August, more like March. And the provincial medi-vac chopper (ORNGE) just flew over the place skimming the barn, scared the heck out of the horses and chickens. I am surprised it can fly in this wind, and wonder if that is why they were so low… Alex may know that answer. They also fly low if they have a patient with a respiratory problem, as altitude can affect their cardiovascular system.

The chicks would love to go into the run, but their mom refuses to let them out to play. 😡 She goes out fine, but let their feet touch earth and she's rushing them back indoors. Still won't let them get close to me either, regardless of the admit of meal worms I have. Darn helicopter mom. :barnie
 
Angela mentioned a videographer and I agree. I just need to drop some weight to eliminate some of the shock to my knees.
Maybe begin ankle/knee/thigh strengthening exercises as well? Do you normally jump around a lot / play a sport?
Not my cup of risk tea. If I had to do it I'd go double with an experienced jumper like Bush senior did. Let that sure-footed guy figure out the landing & take most of the impact.
