Both pups have been down (the Shi zhu still is). Even the chickens have cut way back on eggs. And the cat is being scarce, but that's his normal when there are lots of people around. Had a jam session this evening. 3 pulled out guitars and more joined in vocally. FIL's BIL is a pastor and will be doing the service. We're all expecting an emotional day and none of us are truly prepared.

Thankfully my stomach was okay, it was a high fever, chills, and muscle aches that got me but only for about 24 hrs afterwards. Not fun but there is much worse when it comes to cancer treatments.

Since it is a trial there are no guarantees it will help but I hope it does. It takes quite a bit of proof to get to the human trial phase @ least that is my understanding of the process.

During the wide excision surgery they will remove several lymph nodes closest to the lesion, they call these sentinel lymph nodes and they find them by injecting dye. They will send them to be biopsied and it could take up to two weeks to get the results from that.

After that if they are clear I will just go back for frequent skin checks. If they are not clear then lots more scans will be ordered PET scans, MRIs, basically all hell will break loose. I try not to think about that to much.

Thank you so much its not over quite yet Monday will be the last injection of vaccine. The good thoughts are welcome and appreciated.

Can you pre-load your system with Tylenol so that you get ahead of any fever and body ache?

I tell my little Owly she does not have to follow the crowd and listen to my sister and Rosie. Who needs a blue egg, not me. She is more then welcome to lay a brown or pink egg when the time comes. The Great Queen Aurora does not even lay a blue or green egg.

I have to say that with most of my eggs being blue (from Babs) the occasional dark brown speckled egg (from Bernie) feels like such a treat!

The 21st is last treatment date for the trial. Then surgery will be on 31st. I am not looking forward to the 21st as I got very sick from the large amount of vaccine. Thankfully it was short lived about 24 hrs of feeling icky. I will be glad to get the surgery behind me and to find out whether or not its invaded my lymphatic system or not. The constant worry of the unknown is beginning to weigh on me.

Ive been keeping as busy as possible, out with the chickens a lot , crocheting a lot, and I learned how to make sourdough bread. Distraction is the name of the game at the moment.

I have to say that with most of my eggs being blue (from Babs) the occasional dark brown speckled egg (from Bernie) feels like such a treat!

I get a mix of pink, browns of all shades, olive, green, blues in a couple shades now… when I mix them in an egg crate they look fun. Sometimes I mix them up and sometimes I it them in a gradient of blues to pinks

Or pink/browns in one row, blues/greens second row makes it fun for the people I sell to.

Totally agree! They are not even pollinators.

White-face hornets (bald-face hornets) do pollinate because they also search for nectar late in the year. But I think mostly they go after other insects, including yellowjackets! I’m picturing / hoping deer flies too, etc. (The below says they aren’t actually hornets, they are a type of Yellowjacket themselves.)

I had a huge nest of bald face wasps and the can say they are evil aggressive creatures!
