What a lovely picture of her - she is such a pretty hen. It is always wonderful when they love us back and want to be close, isn't it - such a great feeling!!!

Both pups have been down (the Shi zhu still is). Even the chickens have cut way back on eggs. And the cat is being scarce, but that's his normal when there are lots of people around. Had a jam session this evening. 3 pulled out guitars and more joined in vocally. FIL's BIL is a pastor and will be doing the service. We're all expecting an emotional day and none of us are truly prepared.

Always wonderful to have good friends and family around - and Sherlock is such a cutie pie! I suspect he will wrap many hearts around his oversized paws!

Wow, he looks like he will be a tall boy - his legs are almost as long as moms, and he isn't much shorter than her as it was there (for a foal). Very pretty forehead marking, too.

I hope he was as sweet as his name!

I am supposed to be being busy today. Lots of chores to get done. So who put this chair right here in the shade with a view into the chicken yard? I mean how dumb was that? I could sit here all day watching them being busy. Maybe that counts.

Thank you all. (And thank you to any who post later). Probably won't be back on until late this evening/tomorrow. All the support and care here is greatly appreciated.

Weather has been crying too, but looks like it's breaking up a bit. 1st day of school, start time changes, bus is messed up, kid wouldn't have been picked up. He's already called off for today and tomorrow, so time to get that sorted out. Mixed blessing.

They may be stuck because they already were hostile and cruel, wouldn't matter where they lived, they're stuck in their hearts...

Chickens have their moments too, but the fact that they forgive and forget each other’s actions is astounding. Loving feathered creatures!

I’m hoping to go through my Rock garden today and polish up their nails, feathers and beaks. Some personal attention with each one. A truly Barred Rock spa day! then we’ll have brunch!
