Butters is hanging in, but seemed like she felt pretty crappy this morning. I gave her almost 35ml of Exact gruel, because we were expecting to go and play a gig late this afternoon and wouldn't be around enticing her to eat later. She didn't seem perked up until late in the day. Gig rescheduled due to rain, so went out with them all and we dug worms. Butter ate three and no more. One blueberry. Then later, for the first time in a long time, she ate some collard greens, nipping off pieces, and also eating bits from my hand. We'll see how her poo looks tomorrow. She's been very interested in corn on the cob, and much appears to be going through undigested. I think she's eating more of it than I'm seeing in her poo though. Maybe some is getting digested. Would it help to put some through a food processor for her and she eat it like a gruel?
Read about bacterial infections of the gut, she doesn't have diarrhea though. But wondered about the gas from it apparently pushing against the gizzard making it very uncomfortable for the hen described. Butters used to have a lot of gas, now I'm not hearing that before she poops.
Last week she weighed 2 lbs 12 oz.
