They sure can. Mine steal them green.

And mine are all my tomatoes plus all the leaves and stems and just left the main stem - in about an hour while I was not keeping an eye on them ! Brats!

Mornin! I had to shut the girlies in the coop overnight because it got cold here. Let them back out while my coffee was brewing and the lecture they gave me! You would think little chicky birds would have some manners!

As of right now the only chick that doesn't jump on me of their own free will is Kasumi. I think it's because her tail hasn't grown in yet so she doesn't balance well.

On the plus side, Ash looks like she has laced feathers now, not barred? She's the kid's favorite right now.

Shep is the leader still, but as soon as she does something Ash is right behind her!

Liara is still shy but will jump on my shoulder on her own.

And some chicky butts lined up to say hello to the youngest chicken tender.

Cancer update: Margins are clean and no sign of melanoma in either of the lymph nodes they biopsied!

No further surgery should be necessary. I have an appointment on the 12th to go over the next steps with my doctor. I suspect they will do a brain and full body MRI to ensure it’s nowhere else and then I will have to go get skin checks every three months.

I love a good silkie cross as well. I still have my Goose who is the best of both my favorite breeds, Marans x Silkie. Itty Bitty is gorgeous, I can see why she is a favorite. I want to snuggle her, but something tells me she is like my Chiquita was and would take offense to excessive cuddles.

She actually likes to be cuddled and will come running over to us to be picked up.

And my disabled diamond dove Jerry, he broke his wing as a fledgling and his wing bones literally healed separately and one of his wings doesn't open and stays closed. He eats the same food as the quail sense it's literally a mix of dove and quail food that's used by a pigeon breeder I know! He also can't grow any feathers around the area and he is missing two toes. I think I will bring him inside this winter and he is so tame! I love him and I'm not sure if I should cull him. He is doing fine but what do you guys think?

Why kill him now, after you’ve taken care of him so far? What a cute little guy. If you’re able to give him a good dove’s life doing what you’ve been doing, my vote would be to continue that.

I agree. Our naked neck Goldie has a good life even with a bum leg.the cast is gone now and she gets around fine.
