Why not planting mulberry now? Fall is the better season to plant.
Because frozen ground isn't good for trees needing to settle in.

Fall planting in areas where the ground doesn't freeze solid works incredibly well. In places where the day time high temp is below freezing most of the winter, it's incredibly iffy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When getting fruit producing trees, it's usually a BAD thing.

Spring, even with frost still possible tends to be better for planting trees. Now if they have new growth on them.....don't plant until the established trees start showing new growth.

I know you want to be active here, but I really don't think you should sneak. The short term gain of being on will never equal/counter the loss of trust and the strained relationship if you get caught. Trust is easy to lose, and very hard to earn back.

If it was me and my parents in your shoes, and I betrayed their trust - they would never have spent another dime on me on riding lessons. I don't know what they would do if you snuck on here when you weren't supposed to, but the penalty and loss of trust could be far worse than the 'reward' of sneaking. Plus, if you are a person of the caliber I think you are, the guilt is not worth it.

Tax for sneaky talk:

Why oh why??? They have 4 perfectly good roosts - yet 9 must squeeze (nearly every night - sometimes 1 will roost with the rooster - otherwise - yup, 9) on that one roost! It is only 4' long. Yes, there is a slight slope, but it looks steeper in the picture than in reality...there is less than 3" difference in height between the 1st and 3rd roost roost....so only 1 - 1.5" difference at each 'step'.
Good post.
Totally agree on the sneaking in here for @Pastel The Rooster - maybe she should persuade her parents that she is trustworthy by not sneaking in and by getting her grades up, and then ask for privileges of coming in again later. We can always help her catch up.
Love the 9 roosting together.

Because I am overwhelmed at the moment with things that NEED to be done:th You are correct, of course, but I don't have time right now to prepare the area...and it needs a shrub (invasive one that is all over the place here) needs to be removed first.):(

If we plant early enough, it is okay - but the nurseries that 'time' deliveries (*i.e. internet ones) always send too late for my area.!

If you can keep them inside somewhere cool, where they stay dormant but won't get too cold, you might be able to get them in the ground early spring during a thaw. Then let them get cold from another chill that warms up again doing a "mini" winter on them.

Alternatively, place the order, and email them requesting they be sent "early" due to "other" constraints

I am planning on moving my trees in the spring, paw paw are sensitive to being moved.

Also the grass in the area the trees are located is over my head, not interested in getting tangled in long grass.

I was at a comic convention today.

I simply drove 3 hours to get paw paw trees, ginko trees, guava trees, mulberry trees in a nursery nearby.

Honey has been off the antibiotics for days now. She appears to have survived from her infection. She is now going through a hard molt... dropping feathers like crazy.
My barn is full of feathers! Seems everyone is molting hard, Mr P has no tail feathers left. And the ladies are all looking very ragged.

I love how excited Kelly is to be heading home. I’m sure her chooks and other kids are missing her.
I don’t think they knew who I was at first, then I started singing to them and they were good with me. A Few of them were crowding around me wanting attention; the youngest chicks Babr, Ruth, Sue and Cash sure have grown - Sue remembered me and came by looking for attention, but poopy feet prevented me from cuddling her 😊
