Wow, they made some beautiful chickens, actually!
To me, the one they call Noirans looks like a Black Star crossed with a French Black Copper Maran.

I wanted to get a few this year, but got the 4 babies from Peavey Mart instead and those chicks are from Hoover Hatchery. Supposedly their 2 of their coloured egg layer ‘package’ and 2 Bielefelders - but I doubt any Bielefelders.

BUT! I lucked out one day at the feed mill when a bunch of he Azurs were not picked up by the person who ordered them.

I still would love a dark Brahma

Dark Brahmas, they seem to be very rare!
I've looked on many hatchery websites to find them, but they tend to get sold out...

I just looked that up. Beautiful picture of Pooh. Her ear lobes have a greenish tint in this photo, are they normally like that?

Yes - that was the same with the Roadrunners (Minnie and Dotty). I think it is a Cream Legbar thing. They are sort of yellowish green.
I love that her little crest is multi-colored. So pretty!!
