Jaffar, he’s already walked the whole yard three times. Even his ladies have been following him. I have no idea what he’s looking for? I even had him inside the house, for a guy to guy chat. And made sure he ate well. :idunno But he’s the boss! He’s a roo, what can I do?

I’m going back into town today. Jaffar is in charge of the yard while I’m gone. My neighbor lady doesn’t drive anymore, so I’m taking her to the store when she needs to go. (That “do unto others” thing)
(“Love your neighbor as yourself, thing”)
:D

Insurance company claims I haven’t paid a premium. But I remember them writing to confirm payment.
I filed it.
I cannot access any files.
Happy Caturday.

Wonderful beautiful chickens. 😍View attachment 3643388
I couldn’t be happier with them. The Roos are even working out just fine and they are 20 weeks old today so I am beginning to think their good behavior may hold and they can both stay.
LF looks gorgeous, love those beautiful speckles!!

Not the best picture. I’d like to introduce you all to Eli. Pronounced Ellie. I’m thinking she is a black Australorp. I am not sure.
Her head is bald from pecking and over mating. Her back is also bare. She will be separate from my chooks until she grows back those pecking wound feathers.

How is everyone doing now that it's September? It's getting kinda cold here with the nighttime lows being in the 50s. I'm contemplating on whether I should put a heater in the coop or not. Last year two of my chooks died in the winter.
