I do have Amoxy-Tyl powder. I went to the Baytril because that is what I had used on Peanut and I read of others on BYC using it. I was too stressed and that isn’t the best state of mind to be in. In reading more closely now I see the amoxicillin part of Amoxy-Tyl is not recommended, but the Tylosin would be. Baytril as a fluoroquinolone, maybe too big a hammer for this? But it will work, said to be a second-line choice for mycoplasma.

Yes the Baytril was not for coccidiosis, the Spuds were all on Corid-treated water, and Friday was their last day. I started Anna on the Baytril on Saturday. For the lice your gang has, I did read ivermectin is not very effective. Didn’t know that it could have an effect of a sudden vulnerability to coccidiosis.

Yes. I found the same article and a couple of others and felt relieved!

I don’t fault the vet terribly yet, but I’m not happy about nobody getting back to me that day about the eyes bleeding, that was very stressful to me. It could be they were very busy. I’m going to speculate that they were booked up for Friday and had a lot of calls to answer, and that also they have a philosophy of not aggressive treatment and didn’t want to go from one treatment right to another. If anyone did get the message, I’m guessing that the eyes bleeding, which was very stressful to see, is not something indicating blindness is imminent. But a good part of the job there is public relations, and they fell down on that!

Thank you. Yes I agree with you and @RoyalChick to not treat Ida at this time since she is doing otherwise very well. Tedi has no visible symptoms. Anna sneezed again this morning, but today I can see her iris and pupil separately, the iris has color too and outside the iris looks very light pinkish yellow now, not nearly so deep pink and even red like it was. I stopped the Terramycin as her eye looks so much better and what was bleeding is healed. Also it will improve her vision to not have oil in there.

They are spending the mornings inside the house in their corner. She has been resting in a very dark corner on a towel on top of the brooder tote. Today she wanted to join the others where they wandered but would have to jump over to Chickatraz from the brooder, and she did not feel up to doing it and was peeping, missing being close to them. So I helped her over. Then I was going to hold the feeder and water cups for her before leaving to bike ride….. But then! She found the old chick feeder which is over there on the platform, and pecked down low for it, ate some, and when I tapped the water cup to show her where it was hanging, she walked over and drank from that at the right height, all by herself! Then a few minutes later she did it all again! Yay! She needs to catch up, or at least get on some track if she’s never going to be as big now. So glad if she can continue to eat and drink on her own! I’ll get some pictures today.
I'm so sorry I have missed so much but I have seen Baytril be very effective against mycoplasma. I'm trying to catch up from being 50 pages behind so I'll not comment further.

Hey there! I am soooo far behind! I will try to read the synopsis and catch up.

All is well with my little flock. Uno is as tall as her little mama Eenie and Tres is substantially taller now. They are just over 11 weeks. I remain pretty convinced Tres is a cockrell. I have the slimmest hope we have a very early blooming hen. View attachment 3650684
They...but even more their mom...are totally crackheads for meal worms. Mean Manny and Meanie hog all the treats if they can, but Eenie is still the only one who'll eat out of my hand.

Remember the puppy pile my chickens do? Eenie had deserted her babies to return to the pile at night. I gave up on trying to get them to roost. But the other day I went to close up and...behold:View attachment 3650695
Yep...Eenie and the kids up on the top roost! I hope they poop on the mean kids who aren't bright enough to get off the floor.

That's all for now. Hope everyone's well and your chickens remain fluffy. View attachment 3650698
Nice to hear from you. Good luck catching up.

For Lovers of Hattie

She is doing great. Her sore is healing. She jumped up on a footstool today for the first time in many months.

Even better she has started showing her wiles. She avoided me in a very clever fashion today.

Last time I caught her in the morning it was when everyone exited the complex when I opened the side door in the morning. So I tried the same thing this morning. Out they came.

Only 5 hens. Where is Hattie? OK. I can wait. So I call her. No response.

Then I hear scratch, scratch, scratch.

It's coming from the Cluckle Hut. Hattie is in the Cluckle Hut scratching around.
I call her again. Out into the porch she comes.

I watch as she tries to work her way onto the ramp and she seems to be having trouble. So I decide to go pick her off the porch. To do so I have to walk around the complex to the door into the big run.

As soon as I get to the door, Hattie jumps off the porch and sprints out across the yard away from me. No medicine for her this morning. Fooled that old human servant again.
:gig :lau :gig :lau

She is this active on 1 ml per day. I'm hoping this lasts a long time.
Oh, well. I did not know Hattie had a sore. I just know she was sitting lot. I’m glad she is healing.

Wow, they are gorgeous! I am sad I’ve neen so absent, I no longer know everyone’s birds!
I am terrible with names with people, all the animals here are ‘hey sweetie’. Haha

I know bobs ladies, some of Rebecca’s, RC, bgmathteach, and a few others - yours also, but I know what you mean.

You could put all of the above in a children's book :D:clap
