I was looking at it, but they don’t have it here.I use Nutrena which is available at TSC. I've been quite happy with the quality of it.
So disappointed in the lack of variety here. It’s Mr P I worry about with feeding a layer feed.

I made a trip to Peavey Mart (like TSC), they have a brand that I might try. Just need to get the ingredient list, plan on calling the distributor today to find out. It’s about $8 less than what I am paying now and hopefully won’t be full of just dust!I use Nutrena which is available at TSC. I've been quite happy with the quality of it.
I'd say just getting a huge one ton tote of feed might be worth it for you. Ours got delivered straight to the garage.I made a trip to Peavey Mart (like TSC), they have a brand that I might try. Also will change out my horses feed the stuff I use right now is ridiculously expensive, Purine Senior which is around $32 for a 20kg bag, I will go back to a whole grain (steam rolled corn, oat, barley) which is half the price.
Everything is so expensive now, thankfully the hens pretty much pay for their feed and some of the horses feed.
We asked around and people here seem to say roosters are fine on layer. Cockerel seems fine so far.I was looking at it, but they don’t have it here.

The extra calcium is hard on roos livers, long term. Short term, they can handle it. If you are trying for longevity, you don't want them eating layer feed.We asked around and people here seem to say roosters are fine on layer. Cockerel seems fine so far.
@CCsGarden might know something. (my sisters share that account).

I have nowhere to store that much feed.I'd say just getting a huge one ton tote of feed might be worth it for you. Ours got delivered straight to the garage.
Which is why I figured I would go with the grower, they have oyster shell on the side, so hopefully that helps the hens with any calcium issues.
Yes that. Except it is kidneys as well.
The cockerels and roosters will be totally fine with eating layer but they will be slowly damaging their internal organs.
Good choice.Which is why I figured I would go with the grower, they have oyster shell on the side, so hopefully that helps the hens with any calcium issues.
