Here’s @knoturavggrl ‘s Jubilee Orpington, (yes?)View attachment 3653916

Skinnier, wider…big fluff, little fluff…..From the back there’s not a lot of difference that couldn’t be attributed to difference between individual birds. :idunno I gotta hit the books again!
Width of the breeds, tail shape, nature of the feathers, overall size of breed are the major differences between the breeds. Another breed with the same markings is the Russian Orloff. They have muffs too.

They seem to have the same coloured legs, what about comb and wattles?

I find it amazing the colours and varieties in chickens, are wonder what the difference for both breeds is? I mean re: eggs vs meat

External parasites update.

Yesterday I sprayed everyone again, and I plucked a couple feathers from them that had egg clusters of n them for everyone to see if you ever wondered what they liked like.

This black feather with the white egg cluster is from Petunias beard I made sure to spry her beard.

This white feather is from Mr P; the egg cluster is dark not sure why, I think it got wet with fly spray, or maybe hatched previously.

I intend to breed these guys to sell locally so I have been researching the SOP I can speak to the Orps they are quite large and mine are no where near finished growing or feathering in. I read that they do not really finish until about a year - year and half. Everything about them is round to their shape to the tail feathers. The tail feathers on both the pullets and the roos curl under so you don’t see the praying hands look from behind, it should be rounded like the letter C turned sideways.

Here it maybe easier to see from this angle:

And this shows the curls pretty well, the boys are more dramatic then the girls but both have or will have them. It gives them less of a pointy tail and more of the rounded C tail.

I may have missed half of this. But I didn't know Bessie's butt would be referred to as 'artistic'! Bessie agrees with this.

That could be a great temporary alternative to fix the situation until time can be had to redo the roosting bars. Thank you 😊

Now that I am aware of the problem I will be out there with a flashlight 🔦 every night observing where he is and see what I can rearrange or build to fix it. I will also be moving him up onto the roosts in a spot away from the others in hopes of getting everyone used to him being up there with everyone.
Maybe squawk with him, and ask him what his preference is for sleeping arrangements?
