eek, someone very local to me is selling 5 month old silkies. They are willing to sell them individually and one of them, just one I would bet the farm is a pullet. They were listed 5 days ago. I messaged them, crossing my fingers that they still have the pullet. Please let them still have that pullet.

Um is this 5, 1 month old silkies, or multiple 5 month old silkies

Skinnier, wider…big fluff, little fluff…..From the back there’s not a lot of difference that couldn’t be attributed to difference between individual birds. I gotta hit the books again!

Here is one of the sources to give comfort about eating eggs after treating a hen with enrofloxacin (Baytril).
After 9 days the level of the drug found in eggs was below the allowable level of the drug for human consumption in Europe.
So the vet saying never eat the eggs is just plain wrong.
I think I didn’t eat the eggs for a week - the facts say I should have waited 9 days.

Ok soo. Tomorrow evening I will no longer be silkie hen-less. They actually offered to deliver to me since they know where I live and will be headed my way anyway. I am only getting 1. The other 5 they have available are all boys already crowing.
