I decided to give them sardines for a treat today and noticed that Cesario's tidbitting call was much more frantic for a higher quality treat. He is really going full-on with the tidbitting now that he is getting older.I try to toss towards the roos (they do stand back a bit) for several reasons:
1. Spread the marauding horde of feathered velociraptors out a bit.
2. Get said "v" to look at the roos.
3. Let the roos know I'm trying to help them get the girls, not steal the girls.
4. Help me see who doesn't have something to nibble on.
It's very interesting watching their interactions. He has been showing the pullets good places to lay (the nest boxes), so maybe that means they are close. First eggs are so exciting!
