That is Tassels not Bernie. Tassels is still young (not yet laying) and is growing up to be a big chicken.
Bernie however is much taller. She has very long legs and stands upright like a rooster. She is quite intimidating!
She’s awesome, I really like her and thought about getting some chicks like her but I don’t think Hoover has them - is she a Buckeye?

And the horses are getting their fuzzy fluffy butts; Truly must have got into the weeds and irritated her eyes, last night her right eye was incredibly swollen and weepy and she couldn’t open it; some prednisone eye ointment helped that, the left ‘eye’ was a bit affected but I am just keeping an eye on it (hahaha pun intended).

This morning her right eye was pretty good and the left ok also, I gave her some Phenelbutezone (Bute is like aspirin) to help with swelling, and more ointment in her right eye.

I don't think so. She hatched in March.
Well, Twilight hatched in... ugh, let's see...February I think. It may have been January? Anyway she's molting her tail feathers and can't keep her balance. It's kind of but not really funny because when she jumps off the roost bar, she goes bang on the low roost bar, then bang on the floor, then falls off the ramp outside and goes bang on the ground

Oh dear! That doesn’t sound good, I have tailless wonders here but they don’t have that issue 😳 maybe her pin feathers make it hard for her to move, Dorothy had a hard time moving last year she had such a heavy moult.
