I do t see why not just a very small amount - treat it like scratch grain - mine has corn oats and barley in it. A tablespoon between them both is enough I would say.A little question, is pearl barley good for chickens?

What a pain.Not only did we lose power yesterday, but the storm damaged my coop. Dangit! Just needs to last until next year when we'll look at building one!!! Grrrr!

All the chicky birds are fine though! And it is nice and dry inside the coop. I think I'll wrap the run during the week. If we get a couple dry days in a row I'll rake up our soft pine needles and store them for the nest boxes.
