The cold saps batteries....that's why it's a bad idea to leave your cell phone or portable power pack in a cold (or hot car). It even saps the battery in electric cars. If they can figure out how to prevent that from happening, would be a fantastic idea.Hmmmmmaybe someone should invent one that is rechargeable?

Bernie - takes 11 months to lay an egg, then does so at the rate of a couple of eggs a week and then stops in October.
Sylvie - same breed - starts laying at 5 months, laid every day for a month and then went broody.
