Cumulo is getting a hint of red in her eyebrows. Havoc has a bit of gold lacing in her beard. Tuff has a bit of gold lacing his black breast. Indigo and Lark have a bit of good lacing their blue heads. I love the "leakage". It makes each one unique.

Cumulo is torn between stuffing her face and the modeling career. Nimbus doesn't care about modeling in the slightest. She's EATING. (She's also the biggest, by a noticeable margin.)

Granite is following in Nimbus' footsteps (and in Hector, Whiskey and Cheetah's) by eating everything he can and watching the big boys on how to tidbit (not doing so yet, too busy eating).

As queen, she's been pretty gentle (or maybe quiet is a better word). Storm, on the other hand, has gone after Pear on at least 1 occasion (broody actions) since the crown passed. When it comes to babies, even the queen is a fair target of attack.

It drove me nuts when my silkies mums would just go on the attack with everyone. That was the cause of all the problems with my broodies. But I feel that more experience would solve that issue.

Brrr finally a good frost, but it won’t last supposed to get really warm around 18C rest of the week during the day, and mild over night. The chooks will enjoy that, once I do the repairs on the Rooster Run - the high winds yesterday blew over the temporary fence panels - it was terribly windy yesterday.

Ok I need to get stalls done and go to home depot for some items to repair my panels.

The term leakage generally refers to hints of color showing through what should be a base/main color where it's usually strong enough to cover everything else. Cheetah x Thing ladies (like this one)

Are black split to mottled. That means they have Thing's mottling, but it's covered by the black. I noticed in August, that they were starting to moult and had a couple of white mottled feathers "leaking" through.

Rain is a good thing: reduction in dry ground = lower risk of wildfires. I'll be excited for you.

Actually here, it’s rain = overfilled swimming pools, flooded streets, acres of land that fills up with water, closed mountain roads with no other access.
Snow In place we don’t want to know about! Soggy play areas for the chooks, and a leaky rooftop for me. (But I do get a free car wash!)

I see they have their own accommodations in your house, as well. Maybe I need to make a chicken room in my house??? (Not sure hubby would be enthusiastic about that. ) The dog would LOVE the constant ability to sniff at their door, though!
