Does blue spray actually work? You could try that. I have never needed it but have some on hand for the purpose.
I would try that also, we can’t get gentian violet spray here (apparently it’s a carcinogen….) so I can’t speak to how it would work with chooks, but years ago o used it on the horses when we could get it. I worked well to dry a wound and keep flies away.

@Ponypoor you requested reactions. Chooks will have to wait until daylight as I have to take the kid requesting seed cakes (and said cakes) to school this morning. However, here's Sherlock's reaction.

The black and gold and pure white are the new hens. Thane is in the back, when I opened their coop this morning all six were roosted together. :) Liara, Ash, and Shep wanted out to get first dibs on the food while the other three stayed in bed. My kiddo is so excited to meet them, I told her after breakfast we can go out and see if everyone is up. The new girls are older but I don't think they've laid any eggs yet.

Based upon faces, the new girls aren't quite to laying yet.

Pullet faces

13 week Quartz

20231021_172618.jpg
21 week Havoc (notice face isn't red yet, but some comb development)

20231021_172543.jpg
21 week Chia (with approximately 19 month old Hector). Notice comb and wattles and how red they are compared to Havoc, her hatchmate? Chia hasn't laid yet either, but has been checking out nest sites and indicating she's very close. Your new girls don't look to be that close yet. They look like they're between Havoc and Quartz for when to lay. The AGE they will lay depends as well. Havoc and Chia are both of an age to lay, but are showing that their ready to lay time is different. Both are mixes (as your new girls appear to be). Some breeds as a whole don't start laying until 24, 26, or even 28 weeks. Mixes can startaying at around the time of ANY of the breeds in their makeup...or entirely different times altogether.

How old are your younger crew?

Are you sure it didn’t have to do with some other component in the spray that was offered?

This talks about how great it is and it seems to have very low toxicity, people aren’t going to be taking huge quantities are they? But it is from 2013
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4396813/

Here’s the toxicity paragraph below, prob why you can’t get it in Canada, though sounds like they would recommend reconsideration

Toxicity

Since it has been shown that GV can interact with the DNA of cells116, some controversy exists on its safety and oncogenic potential. In vivo studies have shown that GV acts as a mitotic poison as well as a clastogen.117,118 Studies in mice that have been fed extremely large doses of GV showed an increased in hepatocellular carcinoma119,120 and in a large trial conducted by the food and drug administration of the United States (FDA), GV fed to rats were shown to have an increase in thyroid cancer after two years.121 This latter finding is likely due to GVs inhibition of thyroid peroxidase, given the recent finding that GV is a NADPH oxidase inhibitor24, GV likely also inhibits thyroid peroxidase, a structurally similar molecule causing hypothyroidism and feedback stimulation of thyroid-stimulating hormone from the pituitary gland, causing the replication of thyroid cells.122

We believe that GV is extremely safe and without major contraindications for use. Despite more than a century of use, no cases of cancer have been definitively linked to GV. Toxicity of GV in humans is limited to case reports,6569,123126 trials involving the use of GV have shown no or very mild adverse effects33,39,40,57,58 and the FDA allows the sale of gentian violet over the counter.

Ijak???? Stormfeather?? I don't think Ijak would do that, and Stormfeather is young and low in the peck order
I actually think it is either molting (slow area to finish), or that she has liquid poo. Her skin looks quite red/irritated there - but she doesn't look messy, so IDK :idunno

You might want to give her bottom a soothing wash/soak (?Epsom salts and a gentle scrub/ wash after the soak?) Then put something soothing on it (thinking something like desitin for baby's bottom) Keep an eye on it - it takes a couple of weeks for the pins to really start to come in. It looks like she has a few pin feathers there now, but not the amount she should have.

Other than this, I have no ideas.......

Blue kote has antiseptic/anti-microbial properties, plus it is a blue-ish purple color, as opposed to the red skin, and red attracts pecking, so it might help. However, it can be drying - but it is definitely a good thought - as it would make the area 'less interesting' for other chooks to peck, so would definitely be worth a try!

Okay, thank you for the idea. I really want to try it.
