Last night I moved every Spud into the coop, ‘cause apparently no one could withstand the Popcorn gauntlet. But tonight, look! The nestbox seems to be the desirable spot, maybe because of the cold weather and being furthest from the pop door? I might change the roost platform to a bed of chopped hemp, if that’s what everybody likes better.

Looks.like they are getting this all figured out! :thumbsup

Looks so cold. It was 80°F here Saturday. Today it is raining and 55°F. The ladies are all huddled in Hattie House today. Trying to stay warm and dry.
Got down to single digits F. Now that it's cleared off, highs are supposed to be above freezing, and it's relatively wind free. I'm expecting the snow to mostly melt off over the next few days.

Just too cold for me!🥶 I’m staying home here in the Valley, where it’s warm and the air, isn’t breathable! :sick

I put up the windbreak panels today, but didn't get the shower curtains hung. Hubby brought home some 4x8 pallets, and we made a windbreak for the bee hive. If you put your ear down by the entrance to the hive, you can hear a low hum.

Middle has laid for two days in a row. :) I'm hoping Stormy keeps laying while we're gone. I want my chicken sitter to get some eggs for her effort!

I would kinda like Robin to wait to lay her first egg until after we get back, if she doesn't do it before we go. Proud momma thing, ya know? I want to be here for it!

So handsome. 🥰
