Sometimes I wish we still lived down there. Here it's 47F according to Google and it's going to freeze again.
I also can hardly feel the haptic feedback my phone gives me when I type. It's cold out there.

There is one catch though!
Right now, 5:54 pacific time, here it is 35 degrees F!

Good morning all, yesterday I found another tick on Truly and last night when she was inside I sprayed it with the equine fly spray to kill the tick; this morning I easily plucked it off her.

For those of you who haven’t seen a tick up close, this is the one I pulled of her.

Petunia wants outside - brrr! Nope maybe later, I need to work inside here doing stalls I don’t want to be too cold! That is condensation on that window (-2C this morning).

What kind of tick is that? It is different from the deer ticks that spread Lyme here. That looks like maybe a North American Dog tick??

And it's snowing here.

Went and held all the chickens this morning. Morinth had a nearly empty crop at bedtime last night. She's so light compared to Samara even, hopefully everything is alright. She wouldn't eat from my hand but I scattered mealworm and feed in the leaves and she picked at them. She spends a lot of time in the coop too, I'm not sure if she's taking longer to settle in or if something is wrong.

What kind of tick is that? It is different from the deer ticks that spread Lyme here. That looks like maybe a North American Dog tick??

Not sure but they are everywhere here. I will have to go check it out.

It has a grey body with black head and legs if that helps.
