His poops, comb color, eyes, nares, neck/skin color, all look normal? His breathing - you said he had a cough a day or so ago. Does he do better inside where the air might be better? The almond harvest has always been hard on him, right?
He’s staying inside with me. My air purifier can help him as well as myself

Earlier today I wished that everyone felt good and no pain, and that their chooks were all fine. This means you too Kelly

Hey, I was only making a point that a giraffe could get that chook off the roof,
(if it were a predator)
Ummmm......how low can an adult giraffe go? (Limbo limbo limbo)

The tree top predator....T-rex.....um.....wait, dodge the teeth and stay out reach of the stubby arms.... nope, still not get her off the roof....

Loopy tired tax

Maizie staring: how does that make ANY sense?

I’m not sure exactly, what is wrong with Sir Jaffar. He has been sluggish and without energy the last few days. His situation hasn’t improved since Friday.
I have been taking him with me everywhere, making sure he gets water and vitamins. He’s been eating normally but he just doesn’t have the energy I’m used to seeing. :idunno He’s not interested in being around the other chooks at all.
I kinda thought that I should say something about it to the club here.

Molting will do that to them.
Just going by behavior, Popcorn here is the same. She is molting pretty hard and is not out and about as usual, she comes out to eat and drink and otherwise spends a whole lot of time in the coop resting. I’ve checked her and don’t see anything visibly wrong. The weather up until a day ago was reasonably fine but everyone has been staying in the runs acting like it is winter. The Buckeyes barely go out foraging under the netting, only once a day for a brief time late in the day. The Spuds are following their lead and go out then too, and everyone comes out when I’m out under the netting, but not much otherwise. Hazel won’t go out by herself, and Popcorn’s not into it.

Blanche in the window… that screen doesn’t stop her either!

And the other 2 song birds - the one on the left must be Twister

I’m picturing something heavier than the screening, and definitely not see-through. If it was longer too that would work better, like if several inches rested on the door top but then also some draped/ looped down below the top from above. So you open the door wider, then bring it back a little. I would be interested in seeing how they overcame that challenge, if you’re into trying something like that. Fun with chickens!
