What is the pecking order there now?
Phyllis gets thrown off the roost (every so often, not every night?) but she’s also giving as good as she gets, so to whom?

Current pecking order is......

1. Aurora
2. Hattie
3. Sydney
4. Phyllis
5. Glynda
6. Lady Featherington

The thing is Aurora doesn't like Phyllis. So she still throws her off the roost. Aurora does like Glynda so her and Lady Featherington are allowed to roost in peace.

The tribe has also split into 2 during the day with more active hens and less active hens. I will see the threesome of Aurora, Glynda, and Phyllis out and about while the other three hang out in Hattie House. It is actually rare for Hattie, Sydney, and Lady Featherington to come up on the deck any more. Even if I put out special food. So now I take any special food to the magnolia tree so all can enjoy.

Thank you @ManueB, I think you are right - she really is just very confused generally. Looking at the cameras I can see she came out of the nest box at about 1am and roosted at the far end of the Pentagonists roost. At about 4am Piglet `joined her and didn't peck her. Then Piglet left the roost at about 6am because any time spent not eating is wasted time!
It doesn't get light here now until after 7am so it seems to me that there is a lot of activity in the darkness considering chickens are supposedly not able to see in the dark!

I have always said they can be very active at night. Hattie is super busy all night long.

And an update on my shrimp tank. The female is still carrying eggs, so we might have babies soon. She ate her last batch because something went wrong. The snail is named Roomba.

Philomena was bragging about how warm her feet were compared to the others. Said she dragged a old laptop out there, pointed the fan vent at her feet, and then sat on them.

If my chickens get too cold I'll pull up ARK on my laptop and bring it out for them...although it might just roast them instead!
