Also, back when we had a rooster, he would always jump on the garage roof and we were so frightened that the neighbors would notice. Oh, how I wish I had a photo of him.

Well Sue is supposed to be part of Hoovers coloured layer package - so I am not sure what she is, I will have to wait to see what colour egg she lays. But I love her mahogany colour, so rich and gorgeous.

She doesn't match ANY of the breeds listed on their colored egg package. I think they had a Rhode Island hop in when getting them ready to ship.

But her colour sure is lovely. Watch - she will lay blue eggs and completely floor us all! Haha!

I'm about to go out there to do a spot clean and fill the food and water containers. Both looked low when I opened the coop door this morning.
My poor dear husband..."those chickens ought to start laying eggs any day now" more like in a month or so!
