Sophia likes to drink the drips from the water hose. I have noticed others doing that also.

You know who she reminds me of ? Muffy. With her beard, muffs, eye brows and topknot. Maybe not such an elaborate topknot, but still she reminds me of her.

My recent baked goods!

I keep forgetting to post my fluffy butt pics on Fridays!!! I have some funny ones I need to post!!

My flock all knows how to use the nipple waterer, they just prefer the auto-fill cups, bowls, rain puddles, wild water collected in plastic bags… any other source really. To get Thing (and others) to use it, did you have to remove other water sources?

No. It was the only one inside the coop. Outside they had all sorts of places. Thing quickly discovered her crest stayed dry (and didn't freeze) when she used it. On hot summer days, she used the open ones and got her crest wet (cooling off, I think). They all just really like peanut butter cracked corn. I put the peanut butter on while they watched so they knew something was there. 2 days and they all had it. And most used it as part of bedtime crop stuffing.

And yes, a houdan.

Sophia likes to drink the drips from the water hose. I have noticed others doing that also.

Mine love the hose running on the hillside during the summer, but top off before bed with pellets and water in the coop (probably due to roost proximity)
